The rendered image above was done using 3Dmax mental ray rendering engine. The lightening was simulated by applying one sunlight and 3 omni lights to give the environment the necessary illumination required.The global illumination and final gather was equally increased while the bounces of light was set to two, to allow light bounce on material. The material selection was carefully done considering the availability of different material type from the material editor which is located in 3Dmax.The roof of the house was remapped using the UVW mapping option from the modify drop down. The image quality was preset to HD.
This design was started by a minor sketch and subsequent approval be the client. The drafting was done in autocad while the 3D model was done using rhinoceros cad. The model was then export as a 3D solid into 3Dmax with the .3ds file format to allow for good surface finishing. The structual members were designed using a plug-in "scan & solve" to check the design criteria,loading and stress limitation against failure.
The house was designed to a client's specification.
